Land in Srinagar, where your tour manager greets you with a smile and takes you to your hotel. In Srinagar, you can spend your afternoon taking boat rides on the Dal Lake. You will see floating gardens, lotus flowers, and houseboats. Conclude your day by taking tea and kahwa in the evenings on the lake.

The tour starts after breakfast with a visit to the famous Mughal Gardens, known for its terraces, fountains and tall chinar trees. Next, you may wander the backstreets of the old city for a taste of local markets, handicrafts and Kashmiri culture. You will return to the hotel for a free evening to relax or to go shopping at your own pace.

Drive up to Gulmarg through green hills and tall pine forests, with mountain views opening up all the way. Spend the day in the wide meadows enjoying fresh air, photo stops and an optional gondola ride on your own ticket. Stay overnight in Gulmarg and enjoy a cosy evening in the hills.

Drive from Gulmarg towards Pahalgam through apple orchards, saffron fields and small local Kashmiri villages. You have plenty of stops on the way where you may well buy many local products (walnuts, dry fruits, Kashmiri delicacies), and you can reach in the afternoon the Pahalgam village. You will spend a nice evening in this small village, with superb view on the river Lidder flowing down the Himalayan forest valley.

Spend the day at Betaab Valley, Aru Valley and Chandanwari, with optional pony rides at your own cost. Enjoy the clear rivers, green meadows and pine forests that make Pahalgam one of Kashmir’s favorite hill stations. Return to the hotel for a calm evening and a warm Kashmiri dinner.

Drive back to Srinagar, visiting the Avantipur ruins and shopping at local stores for walnuts, dry fruits and saffron on the way. Arrive in Srinagar in the afternoon and check into your hotel. Take a walk in the evenings along the Jhelum riverfront or at your convenience.

Drive back towards Sonamarg on the Sindh River, a beautiful valley where rivers flow through fields of greenery and snow-topped mountains. Take in the scenery, and if you wish, take a pony ride (on your own expense) to see the Thajiwas Glacier. Return the same way in the evening to Srinagar for your last night and a relaxed end to your trip.

Enjoy a relaxed breakfast and use the morning for last-minute shopping or a short stroll by the lake. Your tour manager and driver take you to Srinagar airport in good time for your flight. Leave with a full camera roll and plans to come back to Kashmir.
