Our representative picks you up from Srinagar Airport and transfers you to the hotel. Check in and freshen up. In the afternoon we go for Srinagar sightseeing. We will visit the Mughal Gardens, like Nishat Bagh and Shalimar Bagh, on the banks of the Dal Lake. In the evening, if time permits, we can also take a Shikara ride on the lake. After having breakfast, check out from your hotel. You then drive off towards Gulmarg, which is about a 90-minute ride from Srinagar. Once there, you check into the hotel and spend the rest of the day at leisure. You can relax and acclimatize to the altitude since the days ahead will be strenuous. Overnight stay in Gulmarg.

A full day built around Gulmarg's signature experience: the Gulmarg Gondola, the second-highest cable car in the world. Phase 1 takes you to Kongdoori, and Phase 2 (weather permitting) continues up to Apharwat Peak for sweeping views over the Pir Panjal range. Today is for exploring beyond the main gondola route. Visit Khilanmarg, a meadow above Gulmarg known for its slopes and wide mountain views, along with St. Mary's Church, a colonial-era chapel, and Baba Reshi Shrine, a 15th-century Sufi shrine on the edge of town. If time and weather allow, walk past Gulmarg's golf course—among the highest in the world—and the nearby Strawberry Valley. Overnight stay in Gulmarg.

After breakfast, check out and take one last look at Gulmarg's snow-covered meadows before the drive back to Srinagar. It's a quiet 90-minute ride, the kind where most people go a little quiet themselves, still thinking about the gondola ride or that first morning waking up to the mountains.
